Mole Festival

Friday 14 August 2026 9:00 am - 8:00 pm
Mole festival

The 19th Annual Mole Festival will take place in Santa Maria de Guido's main plaza.  As many as a dozen cooks vie for the coveted prize of best mole of the year.  You can sample each chef's mole until you find the one you like best.  Then you order either chicken or turkey smothered in the fragrant, savory sauce along with a side of rice and tortillas.

If you are interested in going as a group, please send a message to Wayne Brewster, and he will provide more details.  Note that you must bring a sturdy knife and fork, because the only eating implement they provide is a flimsy plastic spoon, which is useless for eating a chicken breast or thigh!
